Radio Announcer/Personality: Thomas Black
Hometown: Born in Ocala, FL/Grew up in Georgetown, KY
What did you want to be when you grew up?: Professional Athlete – NBA
Where did you attend college and what did you study?: Attending North Greenville University, Studying Mass Communication
How and why did you get interested in journalism?: I watched a lot of sports growing up, I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do, but eventually I realized that being a sports broadcaster would be a lot of fun.
What was your first job?: Mowing lawns for various amounts of $$$.
What is your the memorable story you’ve ever covered?: I “covered” ACC Media Day 2009 (Football).
Hobbies?: Watching sports, playing sports when I have the time, sports talk radio show, etc, etc, etc
Favorite book? TV show? Movie?: I read the Bible, and that’s about it, so it is my favorite. It’s old, but I love Seinfeld. Right now, I don’t really have a favorite movie right now, maybe Dodge Ball and/or The Matrix.
What you like best about living in Tigerville SC?: NGU, where I get chances to do broadcasting. Tigerville is small, but I’m busy so it’s fine by me.
What does “A Different Kind of College Radio” mean to you?: I believe that having the motto, “A Different Kind of College Radio,” is very important. It expresses that we are different from other schools around the area and even many other schools in the country. Although our radio crew may be small, I believe that we are different from other stations in the fact that we are not simply doing our radio shows for a hobby, we are focusing on this field for after school, so we are putting more time into our duties and striving to do the best that we can.

this looks GREAT!!!!!
